- Large parrot experience required - minimum an alexandrine or galah sized bird

- Could live adjacent to but not with other large parrots

- Children over 8 considered

- Indoor only

- Special diet - pellet diet

Meet Cocko

At 60 years old Cocko is currently our oldest resident. She came to us very sadly when her previous owner had to move into a nursing home and could not keep her. You will have to excuse her appearance; previous repetitive plucking behaviours and diet have left our girl a little bare around the midriff. It is unlikely that these feathers will grow back which is part of the reason she will need to be housed inside. The other part being that this older girl has spent a lot of time on her own and is craving company!

Cocko has spent her time at the shelter as an office bird, which she has been loving. Her days are filled with chatting to the boss between snack time and renovating of her cardboard box hide. She would love a home with someone who is retired or works from home so that she can have consistent company. Ever the office gossip she will quite happily take care of all your shredding needs so long as you reward her with cuddles and the odd bit of apple.
