About Baxter
Baxter is a 3 year 8 month old Labrador who is looking for his forever home! Baxter has been working hard with his current family to build his confidence and develop a routine. He is an independent pup, so he's more than happy to stay home alone while you're at work - as long as he gets some exercise and mental stimulation during the day.
Despite having an odd gait when running and a bent tail, Baxter has been thoroughly checked out and all x-rays came back clear of any hip issues. He's desexed, vaccinated, flea/worm treated, and microchipped (Microchip Number 956000012281560). His adoption fee is $650.
Baxter would prefer a home without cats or other pocket pets, as well as children under 12 years of age or frail/unsteady people. He can be hesitant around other dogs, but he will freeze if they approach him wanting to play - although this can easily be prevented by calling him away in this scenario.
If you're interested in learning more about Baxter or would like to meet him, please call Carolyn on 0427 221 231.
Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
