Hiya! I'm Treacle and I'm a smoochy, super affectionate girl!
I'm so glad SCA Qld found me, not only because I adore being the center of your attention, but also because it meant I got the second chance at life that I deserve. You see, before coming into the rescue I had somehow found my way to the pound. 😭 I was not desexed, not microchipped, and my time was ticking away with every passing day that I was unclaimed.
Lady Luck and the volunteers at SCA were on my side though - I got out JUST in time! Let me tell you, I've been absolutely thriving since being in care as it means I am in a safe, caring, and loving environment. 💗
My favourite part is that I get to spend time with people! I'm the type of kitty to smooch up to you and bask in the attention you give me. Here are some snippets from my foster mum:
"She's soooooo affectionate and loves to spend time with you, on your lap or soaking up some fuss"
"She will definitely prefer cuddles to dinner"
"Just loves people and children. Anyone who will give her some love she returns in spades"
When we're done snuggling, you'll find I can be a super playful girl! I particularly enjoy chasing the toys on the cat wand, and like to kick away at the toy after I catch it, hehe. 😉
If you have other animals, your love and patience is essential while I settle into my new home. Living out there as a stray means I am initially hesitant meeting other kitties, so I will rely on slow and proper introductions with your existing cats. I am also suited to a household with dogs too, as long as they're the friendly kind and can give me a bit of space.
As for all the rest, I'm litter trained, I eat well (I'm a grazer!), and my vet work is now up to date – I've been desexed, microchipped, and vaccinated, and given the tick of approval. Now it's time to live my second chance at life and find my wonderful forever fam!

Medical notes
I tested negative for FIV/FeLV and have been an inside only kitty since. I should be kept inside or in an enclosure to keep me (and the wildlife!) safe and healthy.

Adoption details

All applications will be assessed for suitability and compatibility. Approved adoptions will commence with a two week trial, after which time the adoption will be final and the microchip will be transferred to you.
All of our cats will be sent to their furever homes fully vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, parasite free and ready to become part of your family!
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT CONDONE ROAMING CATS - when applying to adopt our cats, we expect that they will be kept as indoor cats only and/or have a suitable outdoor enclosure.
