Tommy the delightful little JRT is seeking his forever home
Tommy is a gentle, loving little dog with a constant wagging tail full of happy exuberance.
I mean how can you not fall in love with those little stumpy legs and smiley face ?
Tommy will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a new furry friend
He is a true little sweetheart with a happy demeanor that your will instantly fall in love with him
Tommy’s absolute favorite thing is his human's company but definitely the second thing is chasing his ball which he will do for hours given the chance. He also likes chew toys however they need to be tough and resilient lol
Tommy also enjoys reading the daily neighborhood news on his walks and he really looks forward to his daily outing.

Humans Interaction
Tommy likes all the humans he’s met and comes running over with enthusiasm..He is happy to snuggle up to them on the couch and receive plenty of pats
He would be suited to kids that are active and happy to throw the ball for him
Animal interaction
Tommy has been introduced to a large dog however after an initial sniff ignored him. He shows interest in dogs when out for a walk however he is happy to continue on with his walk. We feel Tommy is suited to an only dog home where he can get all of the attention and be the number 1
He is happy being the only dog in the company of the two legged kind. Tommy has not been tested with cats or other pocket pets
Independence/Alone time
Tommy prefers to have company for most of the day. He has been left alone for short periods and we feel he would be best suited to have access to a doggy door as he does prefer the inside comforts. If left outside he just sits at the door waiting to be let in. He will need secure fencing as a little guy may dig under side gates to find you. He doesn’t bark or whine excessively
Inside behavior
Tommy is a gentle little dog and has not damaged anything in the house except for toys that weren’t tough enough. He doesn’t look for mischief.
Exercise and Training
Tommy loves a daily walk of 30-45 minutes. He does pull on the harness and needs to be reminded to walk patiently and to stop at the curb before crossing the road. He is very smart so further training should be easy. He sits for food and does not show any aggression at mealtimes. He is gentle in taking treats
Hygiene and grooming
Tommy has a short easy to care for coat
He is also fully house trained.
Food
Tommy has been eating a mixture of dry food and Prime chicken roll however he doesn’t seem to have a very big appetite. He does love roast chicken which has been mixed in with his normal meal and will then eat a lot.
Sleep
Tommy is a great sleeper. He sleeps from 10.30 to 7.00 on his human bed with naps during the day. He goes outside to the toilet as soon as he wakes and last thing at night.
Car Travel
He hops in and out of the car very happily and is no fuss when traveling in the car.
Ideal home
Tommy would make a lovely companion for mature couple who are seeking a companion or
A family who are active and want to include Tommy in their daily lives especially when home
Doggy door or lots of inside access
At least a small grassed area where he can chase his ball
No apartment living will be considered
Someone who is happy to snuggle this boy on the couch or bed
