About Boots 🥎 Silky x Terrier, 7yo(On Trial 4/10/23)
Boots is a Silky Terrier x Cairn Terrier, 7 years old. He is a happy-go-lucky, fun loving little boy. He loves playing with a ball, tossing it up in the air then chasing it 🥎. When he’s not playing, he is sweet and affectionate. He gets along well with other dogs and is happy to meet new people.
Boots enjoys going for a walk. He walks nicely on a harness and lead and appreciates investigating all the fascinating scents.
Boots hasn’t been tested with cats. He isn't a nuisance barker. He loves food and treats. He’s good in the car. We haven’t seen him around children since coming into foster care. He’s a gentle dog so we think he’d be fine with older children who know how to respect a dog.
Boots would be happy to have another dog as a playmate or would also be fine as an only dog. He is living with 3 other little dogs in foster care and gets along very well with them.
Boots is an inside dog. He is house trained. He hasn’t had any formal training so can’t be let off the lead. But he can learn lots of new things if you’d like to teach him.
Boots was picked up by council rangers as a stray and his owner didn’t want him back. Boots was in good condition and he’s a happy little man so we think he had been well looked after.
He is fine left at home alone for part of the day but not all day. So, we're looking for someone who doesn’t work full time outside of the home. He’s a good jumper so you’ll need secure fences.
Boots is a small dog, the size of a Jack Russell. He weighs 5kgs. He has a soft, silky coat that needs regular brushing and bathing. He has been vet checked and is healthy. He had a dental cleaning. His birthday is 14/5/2016. Small dogs like him often live to around 16 years so at only 7 years old Boots still has more than half his life ahead of him in his forever home.
✅ Boots’s forever person(s):
* will take him for a brisk walk every day,
* will let him sit with them and give him lots of love,
* doesn’t work full time away from home,
* has secure fences.
Boots is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐️He is available for adoption to NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC and SA. You will need to drive to meet him and take him home.
Boots's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
