About Simba
Hi! I’m Simba and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR SIMBA
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/Q1T7M41D3sc7yhwU9
NOTE: You are unable to meet Simba until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Simba in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I have previously lived with young children
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
My best features:
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I know my basic doggie commands
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I appear housetrained
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I need further training on my recall as I can ignore you if you're trying to call me back to you
• I walk well on lead, unless I want to go in another direction, then I tend to pull harder
Extras
• I am a little on the chonky side and would benefit from losing some weight
• I found myself at the shelter as I was digging my out of my backyard and becoming a frequent flyer as my yard just wasn’t secure enough for me, so I really need a very secure yard that doesn't give me the opportunity to escape and go on an adventure by myself.
AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE CANNOT COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET SIMBA IN PERSON.
ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET SIMBA BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
