About Ace
Ace is a true blue country dog who loves the great outdoors and lives life to use his brain and make his human happy.
He is old enough now to really appreciate an ear scratch and sitting together with his people in the sun, in between bouts of fetch and exploring the local beach while stretching his legs. When the running is done for the day, Ace's favourite sleeping position is upside down with his belly out - this boy knows how to relax when the time is right!
Ace hasn't worked before, but he loves to chase and herd so he would really enjoy turning his brain towards learning how to harness this drive in a formal activity - it could be 'fetch with focus', dog sports, or even trying his paw at some herding for fun.
Staying true to his herding heritage, Ace can find busy environments over-stimulating, so he would do best in a quiet area with a good-sized yard to call his own (or even a lifestyle property close to the beach - the boy can only dream!).
Ace hasn't spent a lot of time with other dogs, but when he gets the chance to make new canine friends, he puts his best paw forward and is friendly towards them.
Some extra stuff to know about Ace
Ace would be best in a home without cats, birds, or pocket pets, as he thinks that practising his herding prowess with every small animal he meets is a VERY fun past-time. He has never hurt his elderly cat sibling at home, but he finds it a little too funny when she tells him off for bothering her!
Ace has never spent time indoors, as much as he really loves sitting with his family and hanging out together. He tells us that he will try his hardest to learn the house rules, but this may take a few weeks of adjustment, and he would appreciate the time to learn at his own pace with gentle guidance from his people and plenty of rewards for getting it right.
If you are a 'country dog' person looking for a smart and willing companion who thinks people are ace and you may just be the best of them all, Ace would love to meet you!

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
