About Cookie Aka Turtle Man
Hi I'm Cookie aka Turtle Man
Let me tell you the story of how I got my name. I was very scared when I came to the facility and have worked hard to gain confidence around people - but when things got too much for me, I would retreat under my bed - and my office foster mum thought I looked like a turtle so now I have several names, but Cookie is the main one cause I am such a good biscuit maker, you should see how I knead.
I have a couple little idiosyncrasies, the main one is I don't like it when my feet aren't touching the ground or a chair etc. I will wriggle and jump to get away if you try to pick me up, BUT in my own time (doesn't really take long - I love most people I meet nowadays) I will come up to you and give you the biggest smooches and cuddle up next to you on the couch whilst you pat me - because did I tell you pats, and head bobs are my favourites and the way to my heart. Another one is hiding under blankets/beds - that's my safe space so I will need a bed I can go under in my new home why I build up more confidence. The last is I love to chirp, I often chirp while walking around the office to get the boss's attention.
Did I mention I am getting special attention here to help gain my confidence - that's right I hang out with the boss all day and listen to the ongoings of the facility, as fun as that is - I am ready to find my own furever home, somewhere where I will be safe inside and maybe access to a cat proof backyard when I am settled and brave. I want someone who will be patient with me as I find my way in this world, given time your patience will be rewarded as deep down I am actually the Ninja (see what I did there) of smooches and love.
