About Jinny
Our big foster girl Jinny, is now ready to find her forever home.
She has come such a long way in less than a month and is now a happy and confident dog, knowing that humans are fun and safe to be around.
She thrives in the company of other dogs, loving being with her furry foster siblings and gets on well with all of the other dogs who often come to visit. Jinny is learning lead walking however is quite strong at first so we are trying a harness now.
She loves her food but is happy to share with the other dogs as well.
Jinny will greet you with a full body tail wag and loves to be around people, more than happy to be in the company of older children. She is untested on cats however doesn’t react to them through the window and even ignores the sheep in the paddock next door.
Jinny is a quick learner and being a lover of treats, has been easy to teach new tricks. She is trained to head back into her dog run when it’s time for bed or you are heading off to work.
She loves playing with toys and chasing balls but not to any obsessive extent. She has not dug holes or chewed anything when in the back yard by herself.
So far she has shown that she prefers to spend her time outside but but does settle easily when she comes inside.
If you are looking for an extremely loyal friend to join your family, this big girl is the one for you.
Medical notes
**Special needs** Jinny has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia on one side which is causing occasional lameness and will need to be on supplements for her joints, possibly medication down the track. It does not however inhibit her mobility and willingness to run and have fun on walks or with other dogs.
