Niva - 2 Year Old American Staffy X (Trial)

Introducing the Princess of Newcastle, Niva.

Niva is a 2 year old female American Staffy.

The first thing you should know - She adores kisses and cuddles. This girl is full to the brim with love for people she trusts.

She’s so much fun. She likes to play with rope toys and play fetch with a soccer or tennis ball.

Niva loves walks and walks beautifully on lead. If you are a runner, we have found out she is the best running buddy!

She takes some time to warm up to new people and when she does, she’ll be your best friend. She knows her name and comes when called. She knows how to sit and can patiently wait for her food. She’s house trained and loves being inside with people. She sleeps through the night on her own bed. Niva weighs around 22kg.

She has lived in care with another dog her size. If you have a dog, we’ll arrange for them to meet Niva to make sure they’re a good match.

Niva isn’t comfortable around children. She doesn’t understand what to make of them so she isn’t suited to live with children under 10. She hasn’t been tested with cats or pocket pets.

Niva did not get the best start to life, and missed out on some important puppy milestones before she came into our care. This means that Niva can be quite anxious and stressed at times, and this will require her special human to provide her with ongoing support and tools to reduce the anxiety.

She isn't suitable for a busy home with lots of unfamiliar visitors. She can get startled quite easily by loud noises so she will need continued training and slow introductions to visitors.

Niva is a great companion and exercise buddy. She also knows how to relax and loves nothing better than laying on the lounge with you to watch TV.

Niva’s perfect home include:
- A love filled, quiet home
- Ability to be inside w her family
- A Medium Sized yard with high fences, no mesh or wire
- No children under 10 years
- Another dog friend to play with

Niva is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. She is available for adoption interstate. Her adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
