About Jess
Meet Jess!
Jess is an empathetic, playful, sweet girl. She has the most incredible, endearing nature and she’s looking for her forever person.
Important things to know about Jess:
* She will do literally anything for cheese (specifically mozzarella but she will happily accept other kinds)
* She loves dog tv and may look for squirrels behind the screen
* She has the zoomies after every poop
* She loves a trip to Bunnings
* Her tail wags in circles when she’s really happy
* Loves carrot, strawberry, peanut butter, yoghurt
* If you give her your heart, she will give you hers
Jess has a very empathetic nature, and responds to energy. If you are upset, she will come to you and look at your with her big, endearing eyes and lick you to make sure you’re okay. She will follow you around the house and be your shadow.
She’s a very balanced girl, she will sleep next to you while you work or watch tv, but
she also has a super playful side and will happily entertain herself with the zoomies and chewing on her toys. She loves jumping all over the sofa and burrowing herself under the cushions.
Jess knows boundaries, at her fosters she isn’t allowed in the bedroom and contentedly sleeps on the sofa downstairs.
Her fosters keep lots of enrichment actives around the house. She loves to play, especially destroy cardboard - super easy to entertain, just keep your cardboard recycling, throw it in a box with some cheese and she will go to town tearing it up and sniffing out the cheese.
Jess would benefit from a person who has an interest in dog training. She really responds to consistency, she’s active and loves her twice daily walks. She’s getting so good out of the house, her confidence has really shown, especially with the cheese rewards. Having been found on the street, it’s natural that she can be on high alert to her surroundings, although every day she is getting more and more relaxed outside. She can be reactive to other dogs so it’s important she stays on-leash and doesn’t interact with them. If you are calm and relaxed, she will be too. She loves a quiet place for a walk, on a long lead so she can sniff and watch the world go by. As she hasn’t been around other dogs much, this is something that could slowly be introduced under instruction of the trainer she has been working with.
She is currently working on her separation anxiety, as she tends to be unsettled and bark when left alone. She isn’t destructive by any means, she just gets anxious when alone. Her fosterers are currently working on this with her and trialling anxiety medication to help her relax. She needs positive reinforcement training only, so that she can fully trust and bond with her person.
Jess needs a pet-free home as she hasn’t had enough socialisation with other animals yet.
She has so much love to give, and would be a great companion. If you’d like to know more or meet Jess, enquire below. She’d love to meet you

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2-week trial which we stay in touch with and provide support during this time.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork, transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
