About Ozzy
Ozzy is a beautiful boy full of love and affection.
Here are some 'Ozzy loves':
- loves playing ball and chase.
- loves games that encourage him to sniff (Find it)
- loves food and will do anything for it so training him is easy.
- loves car rides where he can observe the world from a safe place.
- loves his humans.
- loves cuddles
Walks beautifully on the lead when his environment is quiet and calm, but can get overstimulated with loud noises. Ozzy is already making great progress in gaining confidence every day and his forever family does need to be patient with him and respect his needs to feel safe and protected. We would recommend taking him for bush walks in quiet areas so he can truly enjoy the experience.
Ozzy is house trained and will tell you know when he needs to go out for his business.
If you love rock music and know Black Sabbath, Ozzy has been named after the singer. He also happily responds to: Oz, Ozzy-Boy, Ozzy-monster, Ozz-Pozz, Hodge-Podge, Podge-Podge, cheeky bum, cutie patoootie.
Oz will thrive in a quiet and calm home ideally with a calm and confident female dog of a large breed.
While Ozzy likes small kids, he does get over excited. We feel he is best placed in a calm home with older children 12+ yrs.
He will also very much benefit from living in a quiet street/suburb.
No cats, birds or other small animals.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
