This handsome little man is Jax. Jax is very much a companion dog and loves his people around as much as possible. He won't cope left alone longer than a couple of hours as shows signs of anxiety, so active retirees, someone who works from home, or just a household where someone is home most of the time would be Jax's ideal new family.
Jax loves to sit on your lap and snuggle into your neck. He can display jealous behaviours if he's sitting on his favourite person's lap and someone else approaches; this can include barking and growling at the new person. This shouldn't be too much of an issue if there is only one human in his new home, but will need to be taken into consideration in a family setting. It's not unusual for small dogs to 'guard' their favourite person but does need to be worked on. Because of this he us not suited to living with children.
Jax is good with the other dogs he's in care with, being one medium sized and one large dog. He's toilet trained although will need to learn your routine.
A sweet little dog looking for a loving and understanding home.

Please see Jax's medical notes below.
MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership fee), flea and worm treatment and sterilisation.
Please note that Jax has a grade 1 heart murmur. This doesn't require any treatment currently but heart murmurs will generally progress over the years and Jax will need periodic vet visits to monitor his murmur.
In our care Jax had a dental scale and clean and several teeth removed. He has recovered well from his surgery. As they get older, all dogs need regular vet checks of their teeth (for example at annual check up) to keep on top of tooth decay and periodontal disease.
ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.
All adoption fees must be deposited into our SAFE Bunbury bank account in full before adoption trial starts (we cannot accept cash). The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.
After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of ownership of the dog's microchip to the new owner, and email out the vet records.
