About Izzy
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A home where someone is around most of the day
- A yard for Izzy's zoomies
Izzy is a very gentle and small girl. She has already lived as a pet and is being rehomed through no fault of her own. Izzy is very affectionate and very relaxed when she is around her people. Izzy has shorts spurts of energy which end in “zoomies” running laps up and down the backyard and of course she gets excited when you return home from work. Izzy doesn’t enjoy being home alone all day and much prefers to have her hoomans home most of the day. And content with company she will happily sleep the day away.
She is good on a lead and loves going for walks and on adventures, she travels well in the car and is fine meeting new people. Izzy is great around young children, including sharing her bed and eating around them as well.
When out on walks and she is well behaved if she sees other dogs, regardless of size. She is cautious and will just move away if another dog gives her bad vibes.
She enjoys her foods and will eat anything presented to her. When she is given dog snacks, she will generally take it to her own safe spot either on her bed or outside to enjoy in peace, but she shows no resource guarding if you wish to take it off her.
Izzy is a super loving gal and would be perfect for a family or retirees where someone is home most of the day and this sweet gal will reward you with lots of cuddles and affection.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
