About Trudie *On Trial*
*trudie is currently trialling her new home* named after sarg’s wonderful assessor who managed to drive her way through rising flood water to our local pound the morning after mildura’s torrential rain just to meet this pup who’d been dumped in there and was desperately in need of help. Lucky for all sweet little trudie turned out to be a true delight!!
we’re not sure if trudie-pup has had the kindest start to life as she can be a bit shy and timid when you first meet her though her little tail never stops wagging and she soon warms up to cuddles and attention – we’re happy to say that her confidence is building every day now that she’s safe and secure in care with sarg and her new best friends are her carers wolfhound x's who trudie has wrapped around her little paw! trudie is truly shining now and will make some lucky person a devoted, life long companion. Trudie is a healthy, happy pup who enjoys playtime, tummy-rubs and being with you. She’s dainty and gentle when it comes to taking treats though don’t be fooled as this little pup makes a good watchdog as she springs to alert when someone enters the property, her little ears prick up and she gets these adorable little concentration wrinkles on her forehead before letting out a couple of warning “woofs – very cute!! trudie isn’t an “in your face” kind of dog, she doesn’t jump up and she isn’t licky. She gets onwell with other dogs and is terrific with children. Our vets seem to think that with her longer legs this pretty pup may have some whippet in her. We guesstimate trudie to be small to medium in size once she finishes growing. While in care trudie will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and as she’s only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! \ trudie is already walking well on a lead. Daily walks or runs around the yard, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep trudie stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. Being housetrained, trudie would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup.
