Arvo is your typical Heeler, intelligent, watchful and loyal, with a desire to follow instructions. Arvo has been trained and will sit, stay and go into his crate when asked. He adjusts to the family routine quickly and loves to be told what a good boy he is.

He is highly affectionate to his foster family and loves playing with his doggie foster sister, however his play can be quite boisterous at times and he can be dominant so he would require a doggy friend who is not afraid to stand up to him when required. Arvo loves being around his people and will spend the whole day beside his foster dad if he is able. He can be a little wary of strangers and needs a carer who understands the idiosyncrasies of this hard working breed.

Arvo would do best in a house where there are no small children. He would be happiest in a home where his adoptive carers are around most of the time, and if not he would need the right doggy companion to keep him company. He would not do well alone for long periods of time.

Arvo spends a lot of his day asleep at the feet of a family member, but at the same time loves a walk and is good on a lead. While he loves snooze, Arvo would also love to have space to run and the chance to go on adventures to keep his mind and body active.
