About TJ
Hi there! My name is TJ. Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I am a young adolescent dog who grew up in shelter. I will require a family with breed knowledge that has done their research on Staffy breeds. I can be boisterous and I communicate clearly whenever I'm uncomfortable with something. I'm not too comfortable with being overhandled, so I would be best suited in a home with no children under 6.
As I'm an adolescent dog, I will need guidance to redirect any arousal behaviours onto something more appropriate like a toy, or something more calming to slow myself down. I will need ongoing training to build confidence and life skills because I have not had many exposure to the world. I'm dog social and I came into shelter with a litter mate whom I would love to go home with (Molly - 0754532) as we are a bonded pair.
If you have the space and time for another doggo, please speak to our staff about my litter mate Molly! I would love to have indoor and outdoor access because I love to be indoors spending quality time with my family as well as spending time outdoors playing games and fun activities.
I will require someone home more often than not because I'm still a young dog learning to be independent and I can get stressed when left alone, so having someone with me for the first few weeks will ensure I settle in comfortably in my new home. I may present some typical puppy behaviours so it is crucial that I'm provided with decompression activities that involve chewing, sniffing and licking - and LOTS of toys!
If I sound like the perfect dog for you, please come and meet me at the shelter!
