About Chloe
Introducing Chloe! This darling older gal has a beautiful and gentle nature. She is independent but still enjoys a loving pat and going for a walk with her family. Although she's not much into playing these days, Chloe enjoys walks where she can explore and smell everything along the way. She's perfectly comfortable in suburban settings, enjoying interactions with people and kids while out and about. She also travels well in the car.
On walks, Chloe prefers a bit of space from other dogs, and while she may be a bit snappy on a lead if another dog gets too close to her. She's a gem at home, especially with her current canine friend. She's not a fan of feline companions but may happily live with another calm dog following a meet-up to make sure everyone gets along.
Chloe can be an escape artist, requiring 6ft secure timber or colourbond fencing to keep her safe and sound. It's not that Chloe is anxious or frets when her owner is out. In fact, if you've only been gone a short while, she might not even feel the need to jump up from her bed to greet you on your return. But Chloe does like to get out and take herself for a walk, so fencing without footholds for climbing will keep her at home.
As Chloe is slowing down a little with age, she would be perfectly happy in a home without a yard or with a small courtyard, as she's become quite the couch potato and loves basking in the sun indoors. She'll also snuggle up on your lap or beside you on the couch if invited. Besides that, Chloe is a big fan of curling up in cozy places, like cat beds or cardboard boxes with blankets inside. She has grown up with children and likes to seek out their cubby spots for a nice nap. She is an independent girl and will be happy sleeping the day away in a comfortable spot while you go about your day.
When it comes to people, Chloe is a friendly soul. She'll come to say hi, and if you give her some pats, she'll happily hang around. She may get excited when visitors arrive, but she settles quickly and is generally polite. Although her vision isn't perfect, she'll alert you to any passersby with a bark.
Darling Chloe grew up with children, was gentle with them, and enjoyed their company. In her golden years, Chloe would likely be happy to live with children as long as they understand that dogs need quiet time for naps. All older doggies can also feel a little arthritic, so gentle pats from little hands are kindest.
If you're looking for a sweet-natured, independent companion, Chloe might be the new addition you've been searching for.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
