Lovely Lily has had a bit of a rough time and is looking for a loving home with warm beds and good company. This golden girl has some health issues which we are currently assessing and we will update Lily’s profile as we learn more about her. Lily has settled well in her foster home, integrating easily with the resident dogs and people, and welcoming good food and rest as she regains some strength. While clearly a bit stressed by recent life changes, she is friendly and responsive with those around her.
After a few accidents while getting to know her new routines, Lily has shown herself to be reliably housetrained. She enjoys relaxing around the house and smelling the flowers in the garden, with or without her canine pals. Lily responds to her name and is a good housemate, resting quietly while her foster people are working from home, and coping well when left inside without human company for a few hours.
Lily sleeps well through the night in her own bed; she is not a morning dog and sometimes needs to be woken up for a wee stop and to get the household day started. Lily came into care very matted and with some dry skin, and has had a full shave to help her feel better. As her locks return, she will need regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling good.
Lily will do best in a quiet and relaxed home, ideally with another dog. A warm place to rest her paws, a small garden to explore, love and good food will be the keys to Lily’s heart. She would prefer having her person or people around, but will be fine inside when left for short periods.
After some tough years, Lily deserves to be reminded of how worthy she is of love and care. If you think you might be Lily’s guardian angel, she would love you to submit an adoption application.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
