About Spike
Spike is a 65kg ball of love and enthusiasm who snores and thinks he is a lap puppy.
He is a lovable boof, with a broad and pattable head and soulful eyes.
No cats, no dog parks, maybe okay with a large calm female dog, kids over 12.
He is a very loyal boy, and loves his people deeply. He has been a single dog but may like to live with a friendly female dog and would do well in a fenced country property with a bit of space.
He is super intelligent and learns what works for him (earns treats or attention or things that may not please the humans but benefits him), extra quickly. Hence, he needs a human who is switched on, understands the use of positive reinforcement, and matches him in personality. He really likes learning new tricks, food-based toys and being near his person. He is puppyish but eager to please, which is lucky because he isn’t properly lead-trained and needs work with that.
Spike is a sweetheart that would suit someone who wants a dog that isn't too active, snores, loves car rides, laying at his people's feet, protectively staring into the distance and looking the part of a guard dog (but being too friendly to be convincing) and who will love them with all his being.
He is a lovely wiggle bum who has an infectious smile and an enthusiasm for life that is contagious. He will make the human who suits him very happy.
