About Harper
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
I'm zany and excitable, and I love to go for walks play zoomies and chase a ball. I like to let people know I'm listening by barking, and I also enjoy snuggling a lot with my humans. I am toilet trained and sleep inside of night in my crate, and outside during the day.
My Ideal Home:
My ideal home is as the only pet in an active and engaged household, so I can get all the love and lots of play times and adventures.
What is Known About My Background:
I was rescued at approximately 8 weeks of age and have been happily with my adoptive family for 2 years. However I really don't get along with the cat, and my family have reluctantly decided I would be able to have a better life in another forever home.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I'm very prey driven and will chase other animals. I can also be rough in play with other dogs. I'm currently on medication (fluoxetine) to help with this behaviour and I'm improving by playing more gently with the other dog in my current house. However it's best for me not to be in a family with cats, birds, or pocket pets.
I currently live with children 9 and 6 and have never been aggressive with them - I'm always up for snuggles with them.
Adoption details
Applicants will be required to complete and submit an Adoption form from https://www.hunteranimalrescue.com.au
HAR uses the details in this form to select the most appropriate family for our animals. This form allows us to get to know you, your home, your family, lifestyle and level of experience with pets.
Adoptions are NOT approved on a first come first served basis. The adoption process can be lengthy by the time we process all expressions of interest.
HAR Adoption Process
1- Carer will assess and arrange a meet and greet with suitable applicants.
2- If the meet and greet is successful, a yard/home inspection is conducted.
3- If your yard/home passes inspection, the adoption fee is paid, paperwork completed and a 2 week trial period is arranged.
4- On successful completion of the trial period HAR will submit paperwork to Local Council for processing.
Adoption fee includes:- mandatory de-sexing, microchip, vaccination, vet check, flea and worm treatment.
