About Damon
Meet Damon!
This handsome happy boy is the perfect combination of active and affectionate, making him an ideal family dog. Damon loves having lots of space to explore and activities to keep him entertained, so would be in his element on acreage with older kids. Damon would love to join in with the family on all your outings and adventures. Damon is also gentle and sweet, making him an ideal lounge cuddle buddy.
Damon is in our volunteer training program where he is learning all the basics to be a well behaved doggo. Damon has shown himself to be clever, learning things quickly, and is also a pleasure to work with, as he enjoys pleasing his handler.
The ideal home for Damon would be one without other pets, so he can have your attention all to himself. If you think Damon is the dog you’ve been looking for, please contact our Shelter Manager Yvette on 0421 831 128 for more information, or to organise a meeting with Damon.
Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: friendsofthepound.com/adoption-apply
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on the cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten. and 15-20 years for a puppy.
