About Gracie
The first striking feature you'll notice about Gracie is her enchanting white socks—charmingly mismatched and sprinkled with speckles. Gracie exudes love effortlessly. Everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her has fallen deeply in love. She exudes outward confidence, captivating with her affectionate lean-ins, a delightful sense of humour, and an undeniable penchant for cuddling.
During her time in foster care, she's earned the endearing nickname 'Tortellini' owing to her graceful greyhound leans. Gracie's foster parents attest that she is the most affectionate greyhound they've ever met. She possesses a gentle, endearing nature, readily burying her head in your lap for a cozy snuggle. If you're on the couch, she'll join you, nestling into the crook of your arm and resting her head on your lap. Her contented grandpa-like sighs will bring a smile to your face, and when she dozes off, her adorable elderly-man snores will melt your heart.
Gracie's absolute favourite pastime is a game of 'space invaders' because she adores being close so much that her spatial awareness occasionally takes a backseat! She's enthusiastically fond of snuggling with her human companions and will even share cuddles with her greyhound foster sister. Whilst topping up her humans’ happiness metre is her priority, Gracie would enjoy the company of a large canine companion.
Gracie is well-acquainted with the rhythms of pet life. She's house-trained, walks well on a leash, confidently navigates stairs, and travels comfortably in the car. All she craves is a stable routine filled with walks, playtime, and cherished snuggle sessions with her beloved humans.
Gracie's walks are more like 'sniffaris' since she spends most of her time with her nose to the ground, thoroughly investigating all the "weemails" left by other dogs. She delights in her daily walk and a few romps around the backyard. Gracie's affection for toys is heartwarming, and her playful zoomie expressions are sure to make you laugh. Tossing her toys into the air ignites a burst of playful energy, followed by a well-deserved nap.
In every way, Gracie embodies the spirit of the best dog in the world. Are you ready to welcome her into your heart?

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
