About Henry - West Melbourne
Hey there,
I'm Henry, the resident adventurer and aspiring lap-warmer of the family. At first, I might be a tad shy, but give me some time to settle in, and you'll find me staring at your lap with the most longing eyes you've ever seen. It's not that I'm demanding; I just believe in making my desires known in the most heart-melting way possible.
Now, here's the dream—I'm on the lookout for a forever home where I can be adopted alongside another friendly feline. Having a cat buddy is like having a built-in support system, a partner in crime for all the exciting explorations I have in mind. Together, we'll be the dynamic duo of the household.
Speaking of adventures, I'm a playful guy who knows how to have a good time. Feather toys? Count me in. Boxes to crawl into? Absolutely. Cat trees to conquer? Challenge accepted. And let's not forget my favorite pastime—watching 'cat TV.' A fancy term for gazing out of the window, daydreaming about all the intriguing happenings in the outside world.
Sure, I might start off a bit reserved when I first step into my new home, but fret not. Give me less than a week, and I'll be boldly venturing into every nook and cranny, claiming each room as my own. And when it's time for some downtime, I'll be there, ready to climb into any available lap for some top-tier cuddle sessions.
If you're a patient and loving human seeking a furry friend who's as curious and adventurous as they come, then look no further. Adopting me means gaining a loyal companion, always ready to explore the world with you, one room at a time.
So, what do you say? Ready to open your heart and home to a charming cat (and maybe his potential sidekick)? I'm eagerly anticipating the day we can meet and create a world of fun together!
Yours with a paw of friendship,
Henry 🐾

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
