Adorable Freddy
Fabulous Freddo is the most affectionate, sweet, and loving dog you could ever wish for. He’s looking for his forever home, with a best mate or family who he can shower with all the love he has, and who will love him back in equal measure.
Our darling Freddo is a very smart boy. He knows all of his basic commands - “sit”, “stay”, “no”, and “out”. At meal time Freddy sits patiently and waits to hear “good boy” before he starts eating. He walks beautifully on a lead, and is not a runner when off lead - his recall is pretty good for a young fella. Freddy is very food-oriented so further training will be a breeze. He loves a good run on the beach chasing the tennis ball, and is learning to bring the ball back so it can be thrown for him again.
Freddy is people-friendly (understatement!) and also generally gets on well with other dogs, although he does like to be #1 at home. He currently has two foster sisters and gets on beautifully with the younger (and more submissive) girl who he plays with constantly. Freddy is a bit more stand-offish with his older foster sister though as they’ve never quite managed to agree on the pecking order - it would be fair to say that Freddy has a little jealous streak, but she’s having none of it…so they’ve agreed to disagree and are tolerating each other 😬. Freddy would be suited to a home as an only dog or equally with a more submissive dog for a bestie…as long as he can be the main man. He is unfazed by other dogs when he is out and about.
Freddy has not been around cats or pocket-pets whilst in foster care however he appears to have little or no prey drive…he is completely uninterested in birds, barely raising an eyebrow at the bush turkeys who casually stroll past his back yard. Freddy is not a barker. He seems to have moderate energy levels, being happy with one good outing every day.
Freddy has been an inside dog whilst in foster care, and would like a forever home where he can sleep inside somewhere near his new besties…he is also happy to spend a bit of time outside during the day though, soaking up the sun. Freddy lives to cuddle up with his humans in the evening and stare lovingly at them with his soulful eyes while they stroke his super-soft fur.
Freddy is located in Port Macquarie, NSW, and we would ideally love for him to find his very best home in the same area.
