About Evie
Hey, I’m Evie!
I enjoy a pat and cuddle while sitting on the lounge with my foster Mum.
She even lets me in the bed for cuddles at night time!
I am crate trained and very food orientated, meaning no fussiness here!
I do not use a doggy door (it’s abit scary) and will still have accidents inside.
If I have access to outside, I will toilet outside.
My foster Mum is teaching me how to go for walks, the world is abit scary out there, she thinks I am doing okay, but it will take time and patience!
I am a nervous girl but will warm up to my new family with time.
Medical notes
Evie has ‘dry eye’ and is treated daily with ‘Optimmune’.
Evie has severe dry eye in her right eye, which has 0mm production and her left eye 15mm which is considered normal. This was done via the Schirmer Tear Test.
She received ointment in her right eye twice daily and twice daily for her left eye every second day. This is to be rechecked in December when she is due for vaccination.
This is a prescription only medication and Evie will need to have a Vet consult every 6 months for the medication to continuously be prescribed.
The Vet can write a script which you can then source the medication from an online Pet Pharmacy. This can be a cheaper option. Some research would need to be done to compare costs.
Evies eye condition is for life and therefore is an ongoing cost on top of food, parasite prevention, vaccination and dental procedures.
