Beautiful Bert is an active and sweet little puppy. He likes people and is a typical lively pup who spends his days playing with the kids and dog in his foster home and then napping to recover from all the activity. He gets on well with the other dog and the children and loves to snuggle up to them for a nap. Being a young pup he should be able to fit into most households as long as they can commit the time and energy young puppies need. Introduction to existing pets shouldn't be a problem at this age although of course should be done gradually. Ernie should be fine with children as long as they understand that young pups haven't yet been trained not to jump up, potentially chew their toys, and give big licky kisses!
Bert is a Staffy mix and will likely be medium sized when adult. Like most dogs as he grows up he will need daily exercise including a walk outside of his yard, play time with his human family, training and very importantly socialisation, ie positive, controlled introductions to new people, dogs, places and situations so that he grows up confident and friendly. We recommend puppy training for pups to give them the best possible start to being in their new homes. Training is fun and a great bonding exercise for pup and owners.
Bert's ideal household will be where someone can be home a lot of the time for his first few weeks/months if possible to provide the companionship and enrichment that he will need as a young pup.
Bert is ready now to find his new home and start new adventures!
**Before applying, please remember that adopting a puppy into your home is a big commitment. Please ask everyone in your household if they are in agreement before applying, and consider your work hours, holidays, how your other pets will accept the new pup, and how busy your life is!
