About Vaulk
Hi Everyone
My name is Vaulk and I identify as a lap dog !!!
This boy has the best temperament you could ever wish for and the biggest heart you've ever seen.
We have had Vaulk for a while as when he arrived he was extremely underweight but with care and a healthy nutritious diet we have brought him up to ideal weight and a picture of health.
Vaulk has never had an accident in the home !
Vaulk during all his time in care, in this entire time this big beautiful boy has never ever jumped on anyone or even doing his zoomies he will be very careful not to knock you at all while he plays.
Vaulk is so affectionate and SOOOOOO loving he really is the sweetest boy especially for such a young fella .
When Vaulk sees his lead being picked up he gets so very excited to go for his daily outing and he will bound to the front door giving the door a little tap while he smiles from ear to ear in excitement.
Vaulk is such a sensitive, gentle, playful, goofy boy with the sweetest nature who loves to be with his humans. He loves to meet new people and get a pat. He is absolutely brilliant with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and truly believes he’s a lap dog.
Vaulk is just gorgeous with everyone from babies in prams to adults of all shapes and sizes too. We have had him play with tiny little terriers to leagreer breed dogs and he just adjusts his play to their size. He truly is a divine boy who we will miss terribly but we know a lucky family who gets to adopt him are going to get an amazing boy.
He likes to lean on you or sit between your legs and sit on your foot. He is so entertaining to watch when he does his zoomies around the backyard. This is a new skill he has started and all you can see are his lanky legs as he runs past you either with a toy or a bone in his mouth. He has been an absolute delight to look after and will be a great family dog. He loves it when you play with him. He does not like to get his feet wet and will use any pavers to move around the yard. He is not keen on loud noises including the vacuum. Lol

Food:
Vaulk is currently eating Premium Adult dry , mixed with Prime 100 and is being fed twice a day. When he sees his food bowl, he will get excited and run outside – do a few jumps in the air and then sit very nicely – when he looks at me – I will then put down his bowl. . He may not eat all his food in one session,– he likes to graze throughout the day. Being a young dog, he is being given enrichment during the day like bones and shark Cartlidge with peanut butter on it. I have also hidden food around the yard for him to search for which keeps him occupied while I am away from the house. He may be destructive if he is bored and being such a young boy. Vaulk is very gentle, taking food from my hand and is such a gorgeous boy to look after. Vaulks current weight is 36 kilos and he is at ideal weight .
Obedience / Training:
Vaulk has learned to sit Vaulk has learnt to “wait” at the kerb and then go (OK) to walk on. He is getting very good at this and with consistent training will be great. Vaulk would love to have some basic obedience training to help him gain a strong bond with his new humans. .
Exercise / Toys:
Vaulk will need regular daily exercise for at least 30 minutes – the longer the better – he will let you know when it’s time to go home ….. lol . He is an active dog but also a couch potato who loves to sit or lie next to you and snuggle. He tends to put his foot on you or his head on your lap. Vaulk had no idea what to do with toys at the start and just stared at them, but now he is slowly starting to play with them and bring them inside – run around the house and put them in the front bedroom.
Walks:
Vaulks loves going for a walk. When he sees his leash, he gets very excited and has a very big smile on his face. everywhere … lol. Vaulk loves to look and sniff around at his surroundings, watching people and interacting with other sociable dogs. He is like a social butterfly. We have been doing lead training with Vaulk and he has picked up how to walk like a dream in just a few sessions. He is such an easy boy to train and with an experienced handler and continued training you could nearly walk Vaulk on a piece of cotton in no time at all.
Car trips:
Vaulk was very unsure and nervous about getting into the car at the start. When he has his leash on and with some encouragement with a treat, he will step into the car and lay down. He lets me put his seatbelt on and he starts to relax. He sits in the backseat with a dog hammock and a nice blanket. He loves to stick his head out of the window and let the wind blow on his face.
Sleeping:
Vaulk has been sleeping outside under a huge undercovered sheltered area and inside depending on the weather. If he is sleeping outside, he is wearing his warm, weatherproof coat to keep him warm. He has been sleeping on and off the raised bed with warm blankets surrounded with his toys. When he has been sleeping inside, he is in his snuggly bed with a blanket and in very strange positions – the classic position is on his back with one of his front legs straight up in the air. When he is relaxed, he sometimes starts to snore, which is adorable to watch. Vaulk tends to wake up around 7am and let you know by barking or whining that it’s time to get up and let him in … lol.
Toileting:
Vaulk is house trained and has not had any accidents inside the house. He has access to inside and outside and will go outside when he needs to go to the toilet.
Ideal home/ Adopt criteria
Vaulk is just a delightful boy who will be a beautiful addition to your home. He always has a smile on his handsome face and will follow you wherever you go including the toilet and sometimes the shower. He has the sweetest loving nature and will be the happiest boy just being near his humans – even up on the couch for a cuddle and a nap. He is very well behaved inside and will generally walk around checking things out. He really has no idea about personal space.
Vaulk needs a home with a good size medium to large backyard with secure fencing, shelter, enrichment to keep him occupied if he is on his own, and some grass to run around on. A home with or without another dog but would love a doggo friend and if a dog in residence we are seeking a med to a larger female who is just as social as him, however he would love to have some doggy friends to have play dates with on a regular basis. A daily walk to let him explore and to keep him healthy and stimulated.
Vaulk must be allowed to be inside and outside the home
Vaulk is an AMAZING boy and only the best will do !!!
Vaulk is very loved with his foster carer and will be looking for the best fit for him and his potential new owners. He is the most adorable happy boy !
