About Barney
Hi my name is Barney, I am a 2.7yo happy go lucky bully boy that is in need of a new home. Don't get me wrong, I am much loved at my current home but I need that little bit extra that I miss out on with my current family and that is someone to take me on lots of walks. I'm a bit strong for my current family and they want whats best for me.
I normally spend my days inside with my current Mum, keeping her company and hanging out on the couch giving lots of cuddles and helping around the house. Or I can spend the day outside chilling by myself but I don't like to be outside if I can see you inside as I then want to be inside with you too.
I like to play with toys but I do lose interest in balls quite quickly, I will bring them back but I don't like giving them up. hehe
I really like walking in water but I don't like going in too deep or swimming.
I am dog social outside of the home but sometimes I am picky, but hey, you can't like everyone. I am not willing to share my home with another dog though as I want you all to myself.
I love all people but I would prefer kids 5yo and above as I do get excited and jump up and I might knock you over.
I listen and respond to my name when called, I sit, stay and come. Some people say that is rare for bullies. Oh and I hate being “scolded” if I do anything naughty.
I love to go on car rides, watching out the window intently or just sleep the trip away.
I am not a big barker but will bark a couple of times when I want to tell you something.
Please make contact if you feel that you could be my new family.
Adoption details
VBTR places all dogs in a foster care agreement, before moving forward on adoptions. All foster applications received will be assessed and those that meet the needs of the dog will have house & suitability checks. From there, approved applicants will have the opportunity to foster with a view to adopt. Most go onto be ‘foster fails’ and adopt these beautiful bullies. VBTR work tirelessly to ensure successful foster to adopt placements for the benefit of both dogs and humans alike! Bully Buddies are assigned to every dog support this process.
