Meet Belmont, a big teddy bear who will become your best friend. He loves attention and cuddles, says hi to everyone he comes across on walks, and strangers routinely welcome him with open arms.

He is currently very fluffy and in need of grooming, which will need to be done every few months.

Belmont is generally good with other dogs and children just can be high energy at times as he's still a puppy.

He is very food motivated and can be a quick learner with repetition and good training. He has learned basic commands such as sit, down, wait, come, shake a paw and is in the process of learning to heel on the lead.

He is extremely well mannered when his foster parents are home but when he’s alone he tends to look for things to do, or wreck, so all hazards and valuables need to be put away (including glass cups). He is not destructive to the house foundation or furniture, just specifically curious about the things he’s seen his owners frequently use.

Belmont is very well house trained and has had zero incidents in the apartment. He currently sleeps on his own bed in the master bedroom, and when the alarm goes off he jumps into bed for quick cuddles before being taken out for the morning walk and bathroom break.

He needs at least 60 minutes of walking a day whether it be in one or multiple walks, or a 30 minute run which he will love and then sleep the rest of the day! On walks/runs, he loves to meet other dogs, with nothing but good intentions, but he's strong and can pull quite a bit when he’s determined to see them. He also plays really well with big dogs, such as his best friend, a staffy who he sees almost daily on his walks and loves to wrestle with him.

Wonderful dog, who is looking for a family who will love him keep him active and engaged, keep up his training and include him in all aspects of their lives.
