About Peppin 11004
Peppin is s delightful cat who is searching for a loving forever home, and he's perfect for those who have experience with feline companions.
Peppin's story began with him being timid and frightened, he hid a lot in his condo & did not want to interact with staff. But his transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Our dedicated staff have been hard at work, helping boost his confidence and helping him learn to trust. Today, Peppin is a shining example of what love and patience can achieve in a cat's life!
Due to his timidity, Peppin would thrive in an indoor-only environment. He's open to meeting older kids aged 10 years and up, or even younger children who are cat-savvy and understand his shy nature. A calm and quiet household would be the perfect setting for Peppin to continue growing in confidence.
If you have another cat at home, Peppin is open to the idea. He has shown social and playful behaviour when interacting with other cats, although we always recommend a slow and patient introduction process. However, we would not recommend rehoming him with a dog, as he's still working out his comfort zone.
Peppin's initial shyness gives way to a low-key, easy-going nature once he feels comfortable. He loves small stuffed toys and enjoys grazing on his food throughout the day. He's not picky about his food and always uses his litter tray impeccably.
Peppin may be unsure about being picked up initially, but he's still discovering if he likes it or not. However, he will purr when you pet him, make biscuits, and even roll over to show you his tummy. Plus, he's quite the conversationalist and loves to talk to you about his day.
Peppin has some a long way from the scared cat who first arrived at our shelter. He's now a sweet and agreeable boy who's ready to bring cuddles and love into your home.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
