About Wichita 10994
Are you an experienced cat owner looking to add a furry friend to your life? Wichita might just be the perfect match for you. This lovely feline is seeking a calm and loving forever home where she can continue to blossom and share her sweet personality.
Wichita is a shy and timid girl with a heart full of love waiting to be shared. Due to her cautious nature, she thrives in an indoor-only environment where she can feel safe and secure. She's open to meeting kids aged 6 years and up, making her a great choice for families with children.
If you're seeking a tranquil and peaceful household, Wichita is the cat for you. She appreciates a quiet environment where she can build her confidence at her own pace. While she seems to be okay with other cats, we recommend a slow and patient introduction to ensure a harmonious coexistence.
Surprisingly, Wichita showed no fear when a dog walked by her in the cat park, suggesting that she might be open to living with a dog companion. However, a gradual introduction and careful supervision will be key to their successful interaction.
Wichita is a mostly comfortable and easy-going cat. She loves to play with all sorts of toys, ensuring endless entertainment for both her and her lucky adopter. While she can be a bit particular about her food, rotating her meals keeps her engaged and satisfied.
She is a cat of simple pleasures - chin and back scratches are her absolute favourites. When you scratch her in just the right spots, she'll purr contentedly and even make biscuits with her paws. Although not very vocal, Wichita will meow if she's feeling a tad stressed, which can be easily soothed with some gentle attention.
Since arriving at our facility, Wichita has made remarkable progress in building her confidence. However, she's the type of cat who would benefit from having a feline friend to support her along the way. With a companion by her side, she's likely to continue growing into an even more confident and loving companion.
Are you ready to open your heart and home to Wichita? If you have the patience, love, and understanding to offer this sweet girl, you'll be rewarded with a loyal and affectionate friend for life.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
