About Indio 10995
Allow us to introduce you to Indio, the perfect addition to your family! This shy but sweet girl is patiently waiting for the right forever home, and she has so much love to give.
Due to her timid nature, Indio thrives indoors, where she feels safe and secure. Her quiet and serene demeanour makes her best suited for a calm and peaceful environment where she can truly shine.
Despite her initial shyness, Indio has a delightfully easy-going and playful nature. She adores string toys and will happily entertain you with her antics. Indio is open to meeting kids aged 6 years and up. She appreciates calm and gentle interactions while she works on building her confidence.
While she seems to be okay with other cats, we recommend a slow and patient introduction to ensure a harmonious multi-cat household. Indio is also possibly dog friendly as she didn't bat an eye when she saw a dog walk by in the cat park, suggesting to us that she may be open to living with a dog. Again a slow introduction and careful supervision would be essential for their successful coexistence.
Indio is not fussy when it comes to food. You won't have to worry about mealtime battles with this sweet girl! She is a responsible kitty who always uses her litter tray. No accidents to worry about here!
She is still coming around to the idea of being picked up so for now she prefers to have all four paws on the ground. She also loves chin scratches and gentle pats down her back. She may not be the most vocal cat, but Indio will offer a gentle meow to acknowledge your presence, making you feel truly special.
Indio has made tremendous progress since coming to our facility, steadily working on her confidence. With your love and patience, she will continue to flourish in her forever home. Indio is a special kitty looking for a special someone who understands her timid nature and can provide the safe and loving environment she deserves.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
