FOOD
Mist is on a premium diet of Savour life Puppy Food.
OUTSIDE
Mist is an access all areas pup. Outside she relaxes on her daybed or in the sunshine. She is happy either in or out and loves playing with her fur brother and foster family. Left outside with her fur foster brother she is fine if you're out.
VISITORS.
Mist is Super excited to get visitors as all puppies are.
She is great with kids and loves pats and attention. Mist is super confident and has no fear lol
She is also very mouthy and right in her mouthy stage especially the baby Heeler stages !
She will need a firm but positive puppy experienced training person to keep her training in check for this behavior.
ENRICHMENT
Mist likes to lay in the sun outside, she loves chasing balls, rope toys and playing with her fur foster brother. She is a fast learner and will thrive with a bit of training. She loves her soft toys. And can spend hours playing with them.
INDEPENDENCE
Mist is happy to stay at home with her foster brother. She plays happily with her toys. She likes being with people and her fur brother lounging on the couch., She is still a pup so can get into mischief if she doesn't have toys to play with.
OBEDIENCE
Mist responds to being called . She is a fast learner and she loves attention. She is learning to sit and wait before eating her food
INSIDE
Mist loves snuggles on your lap. She loves to be with you and will follow wherever you go lol. As she is still a pup, be mindful anything left on the floor is her new toy !
DOG SOCIALIZATION
Mist is currently in care with another dog and loves playing with him and has also had time with other dogs. She will need to continue to be socialized and will benefit from puppy school. Because she is a puppy she still thinks everyone is her friend.
SLEEPING HABITS
Mist sleeps in her crate inside
She sleeps through the night and is very settled.
TOILETING
We don't have a doggy door but we leave the door open for Mist to come in and out as needed. She is good at going outside to do her business.
Mist goes all night in her crate without accidents
IDEAL HOME: / ADOPTION CRITERIA
Mist will be a higher energy dog and will require lots of stimulation and exercise as she matures
A home with a good size medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing. We request you do not apply if you are in a unit or terrace with a small yard as this will just lead to disappointment as we will not adopt this breed into that situation.
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle puppy behavior.Children must also be mature enough to understand that puppies must be allowed to have “ down time” and plenty of sleep and not be disturbed. As we stated earlier Mist is right in the middle of her mouthy stage so we seek mature children if children in residence
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Male of medium to large size who is well socialized and tolerant of puppy behavior.
A daily walk. Short walks while she is a puppy and her bones are developing. A moderate-long walk when is older and has more energy to burn.
A lot of love and training is essential as this beautiful girl has huge potential to be amazing in the right hands.
Mist should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on her own in the backyard all the time. Her new family should dedicate time to training and take her to puppy classes.
She is young enough to learn if you have a dog savvy cat
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pup as teething is a thing that will cause inexperienced young children to become upset when the puppy chews their toys and or the children.
