About Maggie
Maggie is a very beautiful 2 year old Border collie looking for a home with an experienced Collie /working breed family
Maggie came into rescue as she wasnt getting along with the large male dog in her home . Whilst in foster care she is co habiting with quite a few other dogs ,. male and female .None of them are bigger than her . She does show anxiety at times and really prefers human company . She isnt however aggressive to any of the dogs but prefers it if they leave her alone
Maggie is happy to be on her own at night , inside, she is quiet and calm and housetrained . Maggie is not frightened of storms and doesnt jump fences She has met livestock and isnt interested. Maggie weighs 24 kilos
Maggie is excitable when you give her attention and has some anxiety, but she does settle down , so we do feel small children would not read her cues and therefore we suggest older children
Maggie has now been desexed and did have a few problems with her teeth and so had a couple of large extractions.. She has recovered well and is now ready for adoption
We dont know how Maggie would be with cats as she hasnt lived with them , but I would imagine she would ignore them if they ignore her . as she doesnt have a need to chase or play with small dogs .
Maggie woud be excellent for one on one training , agility , etc as she focuses totally on her human and wants to please , she needs a home where she is given individual love and attention . Maggie walks well on a lead and has great recall
If you think you may have a suitable home for Maggie plese send us an applicaiton form . There is a link to the form in the adoption details section .
More photos to be added shortly

We require an initial application and then if a dog seems a match we can arrange a meet and greet at a local park or the foster carers home. If the meet is successful we then arrange a yard check and if that is satisfactory we require full payment on picking up the dog.
We then give a 2 week trial and if in that time it is not working we will refund all but $50 for admin costs. We also require that the adopter returns our dogs back to us at any time in its lifetime (without a refund) for us to rehome.
