Meet the girl whose smile could light up the world, our beautiful Ella.
Ella is just shy of 5 years old and was found as a stray, no-one came forward to claim Ella and she now finds herself alone and, in the pound, wondering when her forever family will come along.
Ella is a clever girl that knows her basic commands and her name well, she will come when called, especially when a yummy treat is on offer… if you don’t hand her treat over quick enough, she will jump up excitedly to remind you she has been waiting! Ella is very food motivated and would do well with further training to fine-tune her manners and skills. Ella pulls hard on the lead at the beginning of a walk but soon settles into a nice rhythm and will happily walk at your pace sniffing everything she can.
Ella enjoys saying hello to new people, she hasn’t met a person she doesn’t like and will sometimes jump up to say hello when she is excited. Ella is best suited to a home with children over the age of 5 that have experience with large-breed dogs, she may accidentally knock over little humans.
Ella is an active girl who will require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation in her new home, she enjoys working for food and would love to be given enrichment toys and puzzles that will stimulate her clever mind and keep her entertained.
Ella is a little conflicted with other dogs when she meets them and will bark in frustration, when she goes on a short walk with other dogs and is given the opportunity to calm down, she is happy to say hello and will even try to initiate play. Ella could possibly live with a large breed, male dog that is calm and friendly pending a meet and greet. Ella would also be ok as the only dog in her forever home.
Ella has not been tested with cats or other small pets.
Ella needs someone to show her the unconditional love she has been missing out on, she arrived at the pound very thin, with fly bitten ears and some missing hair – it is clear she hasn’t been well looked after in quite some time. Despite it all, our beautiful girl has the sweetest smile and is a happy go-lucky girl, Ella deserves her happy ever after with someone that will show her just how great life can be.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
