About Monroe 11001
Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind feline friend who marches to the beat of her own purrfectly unique drum? Look no further, because Monroe is here to steal your heart with her special personality and charming quirks. She may be strong-willed, but beneath that determined exterior lies a loving and agreeable cat waiting for the right forever home.
Monroe is a cat who knows what she wants and what she doesn't want, making her a perfect match for experienced cat owners who understand and appreciate her individuality. She will thrive in a calm and quiet environment, making her the ideal candidate for those seeking an independent cat.
Monroe should be an inside only cat, the great outdoors isn't her cup of tea. She's best suited for indoor living, where she can feel safe and secure in her own territory.
Monroe would prefer a home with older kids, aged 12 years and up. Her independent nature is better suited to a household where there are no young children, ensuring she can relax and enjoy her space.
Monroe's gentle and independent spirit makes her the perfect cat for someone who appreciates a furry friend who knows how to be self-reliant & appreciates the simplicity of companionship. She's not overly vocal, unless the presence of another cat or dog disturbs her tranquillity.
Monroe has made it abundantly clear that she's not a fan of other cats or dogs. When she encounters them, it's best to have treats and pats on hand to help calm her nerves. A pet-free household is the way to her heart.
Monroe enjoys her moments of comfort and will let you know when she's in the mood for a cuddle. She adores being petted on her back and cheeks, and when she purrs, you'll know you've hit the jackpot. Her fluffy wand toy is a source of endless entertainment, and she's not at all fussy when it comes to food or treats.
One of Monroe's many charms is her tidy nature. She consistently uses her litter tray, making clean-up a breeze.
Overall she's a low-maintenance companion who's happy to do her own thing while still enjoying your company.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
