About Tessa
Tessa is a bundle of affection waiting to bring joy to your life. She's the ultimate couch potato when it's downtime, but she can be incredibly playful and friendly when it's time to have fun. Her independent nature adds a dash of charm, making her a great companion for those who appreciate both cuddles and a little "me-time."
Tessa's heart belongs to three things - her cozy bed, delicious food, and thrilling adventures. She also had a unique way of entering doorways – she likes to do a little pirouette, adding a touch of elegance to her entrances.
She expresses her love through affectionate rubs against your leg, and resting her head on your lap. Her big floppy lips and the ear that can't stand up on its own will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face. If you want to see her tail wags with enthusiasm, then just bring out the food.
A typical day for Tessa starts with a good stretch, and patiently waiting for her beloved humans to serve her favorite meal. She enjoys long naps in her comfy bed, occasionally joining you if you're working from home. Sunny days find her basking in the sunlight. She likes to take a leisurely stroll in the early evening, followed by a cozy dinner.
Tessa would make a great apartment dog! She's best suited for a built-up environment with limited exposure to other animals, as she has shown that she is overly excited but other animals and has been known to chase possums. Tessa should be a full-time indoor dog with access to a secure backyard for toileting and sunbathing.
Her ideal family would be an only dog with adult humans or older teenagers. She doesn't need a lot of exercise to be happy, but she enjoys having people to chill out with at home. She does not understand how to interact with children, especially ones that are prone to fast, erratic movements and high-pitched noises, so MUST NOT be rehomed with young children or a home that has young children visiting on a regular basis.
Tessa's food motivation and intelligence make her a delightful companion for those who appreciate a bit of personality and charm. If you think you can provide Tessa with a life as an inside dog who loves snuggling on her terms but is also content with her own company, don't hesitate to reach out. She'll bring a whole lot of affection, fun, and happiness into your life!
Tessa's location is Ivanhoe, VIC, 3079
Medical notes
Tessa is a fit and healthy dog, but her owners wanted you to know that Tessa had previously been diagnosed with Hip dysplasia and had a full left hip replacement several years ago. She fully recovered from this surgery and has had no issues since.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
