If you've got a place in your heart and your home for a lovable canine companion, let us introduce you to the one and only Sasha!
Home Is Where the Heart Is: Sasha is the perfect match for both the calm & quiet types and the adventurous outdoor explorers. Whether you're into cosy cuddle sessions or thrilling hikes in the great outdoors, Sasha is game! So, get those hiking boots or fluffy blankets ready – because Sasha is here to adapt to your lifestyle with a wagging tail and an open heart. If you've got a full-time gig, worry not! Sasha knows how to keep herself entertained with toys and snooze sessions.
Family Approved Fun: Calling all families with kiddos aged 6 years and up – Sasha is ready to join your squad! With her gentle and friendly nature, she's all about becoming the best fur-iend to your family. She's the ultimate playmate that you've been missing!
Indoor Comfort, Outdoor Excitement: Picture Sasha enjoying the best of both worlds – snuggling up on the comfiest couch cushions indoors and conquering the outdoor world with her happy-go-lucky attitude. A yard with high fences? That's her playground - her space to be her best self!
A Heart of Gold: Sasha's got a heart as big as the great outdoors, and her sensitive and easy-going nature makes her a prime candidate for the "best cuddler ever" award. She's got energy that matches your mood, whether you're up for a game of fetch or a cosy Netflix marathon.
Adventure Awaits: For all you adventurers out there, Sasha's ready to be your trusty sidekick. Daily walks and fun outings? Count her in! Sasha has medium energy needs so short daily walks up to 30-60mins a day will be sufficient.
Work Hard, Play Hard: Sasha’s a quick learner and is rocking the whole "sit" command. She's also working on “shake” & “stay”. While Sasha might pull a bit on the leash (she’s just very enthusiastic about being out & about) she is responding well to training. We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Furry Friends TBC: Sasha's dog-to-dog assessment is still in the works. What's Sasha's opinion on cats and pocket pets? Well, the jury's still out on that one! But don't worry, with proper introductions and a sprinkle of patience, who knows? Your furry family could grow even bigger!
So, what are you waiting for? Sasha is ready to steal your heart, one paw at a time.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks with surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
