About Winson
Hey you! Yep you – don’t scroll past – if you’re looking for a goofy fun loving guy – I’m it!!
I am a young fun loving cheeky boy who at 4 months and 2 weeks old is ready to take on the world!
I am what they call a Bordoodle – yep that’s a Border Collie x Poodle!
So my foster mum said I have to tell you all about myself, okay let’s see
I am a typical pup who loves life, people and of course other dogs to play with.
I came into a care a little shy and unsure about other dogs so of course my foster mum who has other dogs worked with me and introduced me to her furry gang – I now loooves dogs and loves to play and loves to say hi to humans.
I did come into care showing signs of having some separation anxiety, however my foster mum has been working with me each day teaching that some separation is good for me as well as for her (ha ha ha). She says I’m doing really well with this now but obviously as a pup still wants to be involved with the family when they are doing things and be included as a family member should please!
I think I am just divine and smart as a whip who loves a cuddle in the morning and then some playtime with my siblings – its super fun to go outside and play – be either just running around with my foster siblings or playing tug of war or just working on my training – all fun stuff I think!
I spend my days alternating between being inside and outside, playing and snoozing. My motto is to play hard but then sleep even harder!
Since I have been in care I have being around multiple dogs who are so much fun to play with, cuddle with and generally just be there with from an old grumpy Maltese to high energy border collies and a standard poodle. My foster mum says that she is ideally looking for a home for me with either another fur sibling who will want to play and hang out with me or a family that will include me in all activities and have me regularly socialized with other dogs etc.
I am also great with cat, horse, goats and chickens
I will also require a home where there is some space to run around and play outside, a family that will incorporate me into their lifestyle and be active with me.
I have been working on how to walk on a lead but sometimes the puppy in me comes out and mum says something about my eyelashes will distract me…. At least I’m happy and goofy enough for you to laugh at my antics!
I knows my basic commands of sit, lay down, recall and how to sit and wait for dinner.
I loves my food so very helpful with training as I am very food motivated (lessons means treat!)
I am crate trained however I would never object to being able to sleep on the bed or a couch especially if I can have a cuddle with a human!
I am 95% toilet trained (I don’t use a doggy door at the moment) but if the door is opened 9/10 times I do go outside but you have to remember I’m still a pup so there may be an accident or two but if you happily work with me I will 100% master it!
I have a coat that does require grooming. My foster mum is a groomer so I have had a few baths, dry’s and grooms especially after having a play in the dam! I will need grooms so that my coat stays looking good & not matted so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense.
So if you think you’re the home for me please apply – my goofy love will be endless

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
