About Zoar
Introducing the delightfully leggy Zoar! Zoar is a Mastiff x born 7th November 2020.
Zoar was brought in to us as a stray & his microchipped owner refused to come to collect him. When he was brought in he was quite underweight and his ribs & hip bones were visible. He was very shut down but also very sweet. Since being with us he has put on weight so his bones are no longer visible. His confidence has soared with staff & our regular volunteers, but he can still be timid when meeting new people. Once he gets to know you, Zoar is an incredibly sweet and affectionate young man. He knows how to sit & shake but is still learning to stay/wait.
Zoar tested well with other dogs and he was very relaxed & friendly with them. If you have a friendly dog at home we will need you to bring them to the facility for a meet & greet to ensure they get along before going home.
Zoar seemed unfazed by cats & pocket pets. With a slow & controlled introduction he may have the potential to live with smaller animals.
Zoar has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
Zoar is such a loving man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Zoar, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Zoar's adoption fee is $250, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Zoar is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Zoar is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
