About Violet - 6 Year Old Golden Retriever
Meet the gorgeous Violet! A 6 year old Golden Retriever who is ready to find her forever family.
Violet is a small GR but she has a big personality! She loves to carry anything and everything she can around the house in her mouth. She is quite vocal too! Oh and she loves her food (and will loves yours as well!!)
Violet is a sweet girl but hasn’t had much exposure or training in her life so a family that can provide her with ongoing training is a must.
Violet has lived her life outside but since coming into care, she now has access to both indoors and outdoors. She is sleeping inside on her bed (or the floor sometimes) and hasn’t had any accidents.
Violet is a very nervous girl and new things scare her, so her new family will need to have a lot of patience with her. As she is nervous, a family with young children wouldn’t be suitable. We would recommend a family with no children or children over 12 years old. She would ideally go to a home with another calm dog to ease her anxiety and show her that the world isn’t such a scary place! She’s learning to walk on a lead but gets a bit scared being outside with all the loud noises and cars.
Violet is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea, tick and worming treatments.
Violet overview:
- Requires ongoing training and a patient family
- Nervous, scared and anxious
- Good with dogs - would love a home with a calm doggy friend!
- Untested with cats
- Not suitable for a family with young children
- Fully fenced yard
- Access to both indoors and outdoors
Violet is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW. Her adoption fee is $800.
