About Ernie
Hi I’m Ernie Biscuit! I’m a lovable guy searching for a fur-ever family. I’ve learnt a lot since joining the good life. Walking up and down stairs and staying on my own for up to 5 hours are now easy for me. I’ve also discovered I like peanut butter, lying in the sun, and on the couch (everywhere really!), and I am fascinated by the TV remote.
Since joining the good life I’ve had a foster sister. We copy each other. Like normal siblings we sometimes can disagree about who gets food and toys, but I love her to bits. I would suit a home with or without another fur friend – just as long as there is someone around a lot of the time to give the love and attention I deserve. I am incredibly curious about other wildlife though – so you might need to rein in my enthusiasm if we see other wildlife out and about like a kangaroo.
My foster family say I’d suit a lot of living situations. I’m generally good with other dogs, I haven’t met any cats. I’m curious around children. A little outdoor area, to stretch my legs and check my wee-mails would be a bonus. I’m gentle, cuddly and affectionate, and often jump up in bed to shower my family with cuddles in the morning to remind them that I love them. My foster family say whoever is my fur-ever family is incredibly lucky as I am the best boy. They say I am the most affectionate greyhound ever!
I hope you are my forever family, please get in touch with Greyt Greys if you think you are! I look forward to snuggling with you on your couch!

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form/
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
