About Lola
Meet Lola, the elegant 8-year-old tabby who has captured hearts at SAFE while she waits for her forever home.
Lola's journey to us was a bit rocky. She was once a beloved pet, but unfortunately, she found herself surrendered to our care because she didn't quite see eye-to-eye with a toddler. On arrival at SAFE she wasn't immediately friendly but as if often the case this was down to a medical issue. When our vet checked her over he found that she has hyperthyroidism. It was just a case of giving her one small tablet a day in her food and she turned into a different cat. She is more relaxed and friendly and likes a good head and chin scratch. And although she's not a fan of being picked up, she is very food motivated and can easily be persuaded with some tasty treats!
This lovely lady has plenty of energy to spare and enjoys playing with hanging or wand toys, tiny balls, or bottle caps. She's even been known to engage in a bit of chit-chat from time to time! Lola likes to get out and about at SAFE and likes the quiet of the store-room and we often find her cosied up in a bed or on her favourite chair there napping.
Lola has been patiently waiting for her forever home for a while now. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who leads a quiet life, a household without other pets or children. Lola is always clean and tidy. She is toilet trained and uses her litter tray and she is very easy to care for. While she may take time to settle in, a patient person will be rewarded with the company of a truly special lady.
If you're ready to open your heart and home to Lola, come meet her today at SAFE Haven in Roseville and discover the joy of welcoming this unique and charming tabby into your life!
Cat accessories such as carriers, litter trays, litter scoops, food bowls, etc are all available for purchase at SAFE Haven. All proceeds go into saving animals and caring for them until they find loving homes.
If Lola is not the cat for you, please monitor our website for your perfect match!
Medical notes
Hyperthyroidism. Has to take one tablet per day with food (which she takes easily)
