COOKIE is an adorable little girl with the two blue eyes.  She was desexed on 26 July 2023.  She is 10 months old.  A little pocket rocket.
She is a long haired dapple.
A petite dog weighing only 5kg.

Cookie loves a cuddle and enjoys the company of our two dachshunds; whilst she enjoys their company we feel she would be better suited as an "only child" as sometimes she can show signs of aggression toward the other dog, however that does not mean she cannot be socialised with other dachshunds as she loves play time with them or visiting other dachshunds as friends.
She is needy and requires her owner at home most hours of the day as most dachshunds do!

Afternoons around 4pm the real Cookie comes out to play.  Buster (5yo) and her run around chasing each other.

Cookie was previously crate trained but didn’t like this at our house.

She has her own pink blanket and sleeps at the head of the bed between our two pillows.

She sleeps all night but when she knows you are awake in the morning she will lick you until you get up.  

Doggie door training has been very successful-she uses it with ease if the door is propped open.  She is a little bit scared of the flap hitting her.

She walks well on a harness and lead and does the occasional excitement wee.  We’ve had no accidents in our house.

The garden is one of her favourite places to hang out.  She loves to roll in the sugar cane mulch and find a stick to chew on.  She does like to share/show her twigs off by bringing them inside with her.

Cookie is a good eater.  She currently has one piece of a chicken wing for breakfast and grain free dog roll is her favourite dinner.  She wasn’t fussed on my home cooked food (that our boys get).  They are all fed on our back patio and have been taught to not try steal the others food.

Our small grandchildren (2&4) have been to the house whilst she has been here-Cookie was apprehensive at first but warmed up to them by the time they went home.

If you are retired and want a lap dog or a little shadow she’s the one for you.
