About Bailey
Bailey is 4 years old and loves playing with his foster brother and sisters. He also loves playing fetch with toys, although he really wants you to chase him around too!
Bailey will need someone to be patient with him while he gains his confidence and settles into his new home
He is a lovely little boy with a friendly and generally quiet nature, who is inquisitive and likes to be around people.
He is not a snuggler, and likes his own space, however he happily sleeps on top of the big bed and once settled doesn’t generally move about through the night.
Bailey can get jealous if another dog is getting attention and this needs to be taken into account when there is food handed out.
He will bark at a thunderstorm but is easily settled.
Once settled into his home, he enjoys wrestling with others and zoomies are quite a sight to behold.
Bailey is good with people, will bark at strangers until introduced and then is happy to check them out.
He is happy to travel in the car and walk on a lead, but gets heaps of exercise at home running free with the others, so needs a playmate or two.
Bailey would be best suited to a family with someone around a fair amount of the time and other dogs. He would also be ok with older children (10+)
Medical notes
4 year old Bailey is desexed and microchipped. He is up to date with vaccinations, as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
Bailey has had a dental recently where he had one tooth extracted and a scale and polish, we recommend annual dental checks with your vet for all of our dogs.
Bailey has mild patella luxation which is common in the chihuahua breed, however it doesn’t bother him and he moves about well, running and playing, so we have decided not to do surgery. However, as he ages he may need to have his patellas repaired so please keep this in mind. We recommend starting him on a joint support supplement to help as he ages.
