About Poppy
Hello lovely humans! My name's Poppy, aka the Owen Wilson of the greyhound world! I have the cutest crooked nose that adds to my charm!
I am a cheeky 3-year-old lady greyhound filled with love, sweetness, and adorableness. You might just fall in love with my irresistible crooked nose and heart-melting overbite.
Tickles and cuddles make me wag my tail in delight, and I'd paw-sitively love to share my joy with you!
As soon as I hear my human buddies move, I zoom through the house, ending up in your room for the ultimate good morning surprise - who needs caffeine when you've got a Poppy wake-up call, right?
If you’re looking for a clever canine, then that's me! I’m a quick learner, like this fun pat and paw routine of mine that everyone seems to love. I pat them, they pat me back… endless amusement and bonding! Plus, my adoration for being part of family movie nights, cuddled up on the couch.
But the thing that really stands out about me is my trusting and loving nature. The first time I climbed onto my foster family's laps, looking at them with my big trusting eyes, we all knew I was part of their pack forever. I just can't wait to feel that same belonging with a forever family.
Poppy’s the name, and endless love's my game! Could I be the paw-fect addition to your family?

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form/
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
