I am Calvin and my rescue story begins:
In a rural pound and with no options left , I found myself on “ that list” , you know the one where it’s the end of the road for me. Fortunately for me a urgent call was put out to see if any rescues could save my life and Silver Lining did, they saved me.
Into the transport van I hopped for the long journey to Brisbane. We made a stop and I was then put into a car with a lady that was telling me “ it’s ok Bubba, everything is going to be ok, you are safe now”.
Well I thought to myself, this sounds a whole lot better than where I came from. It was storming as we drove away so I just sat in the carrier and didn’t make a peep, you wouldn’t have even known I was in the car I was so good.
Now I am in my foster home being the most perfect well behaved young man. That lady that told me that everything was going to be ok ( my foster mum) well she told me I needed a bath so I could look my best when I have “ meet and greets” . I must admit that this bath thing was not the most enjoyable thing, but I didn’t cause any fuss and as you can see I do look very beautiful.
My foster mum keeps telling me what an exceptional young man I am, getting along with all my foster brothers and sisters. Not demanding, but I will never say no to a chin scratch or a brush of my beautiful fur.
Now I don’t know why I ended up in the pound but my foster mum assures me that it was nothing I did. Sometimes humans don’t do the right thing and the pets pay the cost. I don’t want to have humans like that ever in my life again, both me and my foster mum want humans that will love me forever and a day. Do you think that could be you?
