In his life before NQAR Pip had a job working security in an industrial area. However, Pip was too friendly with potential perps and thus was fired. This said, he will bark at the gate to warn his owners but not excessively.
Since coming into care Pip has shown himself to be a friendly guy who adores people of all sizes. He can be a little head shy at times but is improving with this.
Pip loves playing with other dogs and tends to be submissive when meeting. He prefers a wrestling type of play and appears quite content at the bottom of this pack. Pip hasn't shown any guarding of food or resources.
Pip is currently learning basic commands and learning not to jump up in his excitement. As his breed suggests he is a clever guy who responds quickly to positive reinforcement. He has established recall and sit. He will trot off and jump in his pen on cue.
Pip would suit a home where his humans are committed to continuing his training. Pips humans will also need to be able to provide appropriate levels of exercise and mental stimulation.
Pip is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative) and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
If you would like to meet Pip, please contact adopt@nqar.org.au to arrange a meet and greet.
