About Knox
On the outside Knox may look like he is a big dog, but on the inside Knox really is just a little teddy bear looking for a family and a place to call home.
Knox is a gentle soul who given half a chance, would snuggle up on your lap!!
Looking for a calm home with a family who will understand that he is a little on the shy side, it wont take Knox long to settle in.
Once he is comfortable his loyalty will know no bounds, he will be your constant shadow, ensuring you always remain within patting distance.
A lover of all things toy related Knox would love to have his very own toy box, that he can pick from through out the day and then watch you clean up at night.
Knox has lived with other dogs and cats. In his previous home he was a bit intimidated by small dogs, and does better with larger dogs. However, we would also be happy to see Knox go to a home where he was the only pet.
If his new home did have other pets, we would recommend there be the ability to separate them while unsupervised, at least initially, while Knox settles in.
While Knox is very obedient and has some training under his belt, attending group dog training classes may help provide Knox some confidence and will support a strong bond with his new family. Walks in a daily bases will also be ideal for Knox as well as A LOT of cuddles.
Such a calm gentle soul Knox is just wanting someone to love, he has so much to give. Knox is ready to move into his new home today!
To book a meet and greet with Knox please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au .
Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
